Details of Experience:
Mrs. E. Kent arrived at Quality Center for Rehabilitation & Healing on September 17, 2020, from a previous stay in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Kent was referred to Quality Center for skilled nursing care, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Mrs. Kent was wearing an immobilizer brace on her left leg and a casting on her right leg, due to a car collision.

Upon Mrs. Kent’s arrival to Quality Center for Rehabilitation, she was greeted by several members of the professional team. Within her first 24 hours, Mrs. Kent met with the administrative staff, clinicians, therapists, physicians, and other members of the team, who welcomed her and answered all questions.

Mrs. Kent was also greeted by the Director of Concierge, Miss Kay, who presented her with a lovely welcome bag and explained the services she provides to all the residents, family, and staff.
Mrs. Kent’s assessment was performed by her therapist, Chandelle. She was non-weight bearing at this time with assistance and was determined to work on her upper body strength. Using a sliding board to transfer from bed to chair, after a few weeks she was able to do it by herself.

On October 28, 2020, after a follow-up doctor’s appointment, Mrs. Kent had the splints and braces removed. She could now apply some pressure, with the assist of a walking boot on her left leg. This motivated her to work harder to reach her goal to walk before going home. With her continuous therapy and dedication, she was able to take 150 steps after a few weeks.
Mrs. Kent was discharged to her home on November 25, 2020. She shares; “I am thankful to the therapy department, appreciative of the care I received, and thankful for how the entire staff has been attentive and very friendly, during my stay in the community.”
Mrs. Kent’s home plan has been set up with All Heart Home Health for any assistance she may need. The team wishes her best wishes and continued good health in 2021.
